I am poor and unemployed and I need money. *weepweep* / Sob story.

France was fun!!! Wet. Windy....but fun! Got some lovely new clothes and BOY did I stock up on chocolate.

Did get a little fed up being turned into a mini-clone of my housemate though. I DARED to wear eyeliner and red eyeshadow, and she nearly had a fit about it. So just to annoy her more than anything, I wore it out for the whole day, and to this moment I still think it looked fine. Bold...vibrant...not badly applied liner....a recipe for her to loathe.

The journey home was ...... eventful. We were just over an hour from Calais, when the window on the front passenger side decided it was going to break and refuse to wind up. Needless to say the rest of the journey was somewhat .... ah.... refreshing. We called the AA out at the first service area we could when back in England and he managed to jack the window up and tape it in place in order for us to get home. And get home we did. Past 1am....after being on the road for over 14 hours, and up for about 19 hours.... X_X

Been clearing out my room today. Got a bag full of clothes and nick nacks to Ebay and Charity-Shop. Have also unpacked neatly and stripped my wardrobes of the cinema/theatre tickets, letters, pictures.....and filed all of them away in a lever arch.

Now. I really ought to try and get a job for the rest of Easter break. If I don't manage it though I'm still going to try my best to get a job when I'm back at uni. I only have to go in for about 3-4 days for the WHOLE term. Even if it was just part time, it's better than nothing. I am signed up in an employment agency down there too so this would be good. I'm thinking that also now I can do more hours, I might be more likely to get something. I can also give them longer than a month.... we shall see.

Finally, I have found a pair of clip on, dangly green earrings. They don't look too bad. Yay.

Okay, so I know I haven't been around for a while. Sorry!!!! I have been lurking and commenting and suchlike.....and uploading as and when I can. My life these past months has been EATEN and SWALLOWED WHOLE by uni. Not to mention working on our MTS (Musical Theatre Soc.) production of "Sweeney Todd". Omg, I could flail about that for days on end - it went SO well.

To put you all in the picture, we put the play on in a hall in the woodland grounds of our uni...and our "wings" were actually fire exits leading out into the woods XD So yours truly was stuck outside (I was "assistant stage manager") for 2/3 performances. Didn't really mind though. It didn't rain, thank goodness. It was cold...but ehhh that's what scarves are for.

It's been so much fun to be a part of and has really given me a social life. Gasp, I know! All the rehearsals, though often long and tiring, were still so much fun to go to and sit in on. And the actual show - the sheer BUZZ of being a part of something like that, and having all my duties i.e. keeping the fire exit door from slamming closed when cast went in or out, chatting to the cast outside, giving Toby and Mrs Lovett the pies, running all the way back around the building to do a scene change, crashing into people, dragging "corpses" out through the fire exit, squelching through heaven only knows how much mud!!!, and opening the "oven" door for Mrs Lovett to go flying through at the end!!!!

It. Was. SO MUCH FUN!!!


I've already pencilled myself in with David to be on the team for working for MTS Caberet in the summer term - hopefully will be doing some design work with that.

Went to my first aftershow EVER. And it was SO much fun. Granted I was nervous at first being there, but that quickly faded. It was amusing to be stone cold sober and watch everyone else get utterly hammered XD. (Bar a few people that is). AAAAAND when Phil and Sarah (our director / ensemble cast member) made speeches and presentations, Phil presented me with a bottle of wine, and Sarah presented me with a mince pie with my name iced on it as a thank you for, as Phil put it "going above and beyond the call of duty as an ASM, turning up to every rehearsal just to pick up on things, and doing fucking awesome drawings and turning Dan (Judge Turpin) into a vampire!" That pretty much made my entire evening as I was not expecting anything of the sort!

............I just realised. I've not uploaded that picture have I???? I shall check after posting this, and if not, I'll upload it heehee!



As regards other stuff at uni, I just have been working my little ass off on essay writing, script writing and creating sound design pieces based on musical theatre (Noticing a theme yet?)

By the way, if you're still reading this...you deserve a medal.

In OTHER news....I am off to France tomorrow for a week with housemate and family. Should be fun! I am SO glad to be having a break. As such, I won't be around until next Saturday. (Not that it'll make a change from my usual appearances around here....lol!)

And in OTHERRRR news, I saw 'Spamalot' recently. Wow. So. Much. FUN!!! (Am so going to have to fanart it )

And I am planning on doing my final year dissertation on Gollum.***MUCH FLAILING!!!***

Right. Going now. I need a cup of tea....

After ages, I have finally got around to sorting out all my files on my harddrive. It's been hellish trying to find anything. My Documents should have been more aptly titled "My Rubble", and My Pictures should have been "My Files Which Are Scattered Hither and Thither In Folders Whose Names Do Not Match To Their Content".

This has all now been sorted. My Pictures has lots of folders, with subfolders, as does My Documents. And I have deleted a load of crap off the harddrive too.

They have also been copied to my ext. harddrive. Good.

And I have written a 5 page script.

Today has been used wisely, i feel.
